Getting back to yourself after domestic violence
#letschat so I’ve been in and out of domestic violence situation since I was a child and my last relationship was pretty close to killing me. I wake up every single day with a constant reminder of everything that happened to me during that time. I try to move forward and deal with life but I’m completely overwhelmed with it all. From night terrors to PTSD to anxiety and depression it’s hard to even talk to people. How do you move forward and break through to be able to live again and not be in fear anymore? I really need help with this. Even my middle child is battling with ptsd so much right now. I just want to feel normal again. And be able to smile and mean it. Ya know? Let me know what you think I greatly appreciate any and all help. Thank you so very much! #domesticabusesurvivor #vulnerable #Lemon8 #ptsdawareness

I too am a childhood & adult domestic abuse survivor. I will be honest, while I am in a better place now, I still have recurring nightmares and PTSD sensitivities. The best advice I have is work every day to do things that'll make you fall back in love with YOU. Gaining self-acceptance & self-esteem have been big 4 me
