Shocking little upgrade? When the waiting flagship may not answer.
Shocking little upgrade? When the waiting flagship may not answer the problem, the person actually using the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
It used to be well known that every time Samsung launched a new Galaxy S Ultra, we often saw a full upgrade that made many people unhesitatingly decide to switch from the original model, but for the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, the story didn't seem to be the case.
According to the data, the S26 Ultra may have only four notable upgrades: a 10-bit AMOLED display that displays more subtle colors, a Privacy Display system that restricts the side view, a faster and more energy efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a faster charge to 60W from the original 45W.
Although all of this is a good development, compared to the history of the Ultra family that used to be "the best," it looks like a small step that really dishonors the top flagship, especially when many brands have gone further.
So what are the things many people would like to see on S26 Ultra, but "maybe" haven't seen?
1.16GB RAM on all models: Nowadays, mobile AI needs more and more memory. 12GB may no longer be "Ultra" specification.
2.Telephoto 3x Camera Higher Resolution: The long-used 10MP sensor seems old for this level of mobile phone. If you get 50MP, the image will be much sharper.
3.Oscillation System (OIS) Provides Front Camera: Helps Selfie in Low Light or Video Call Much Better iPhone 17 Pro Max Is Already There
4.Bigger battery: Even the chip is more economical, but if it reaches 5,500mAh instead of the same capacity of 5,000mAh, the use will be a lot tougher.
Samsung's choice of "play safe" with S26 Ultra may disappoint fans who really expect "Ultra" and have to reweigh their value compared to the likely high price. It is another case study that reflects that even big brands have too many days of 'play safe' that they may unfortunately miss the opportunity to create excitement in the market.
