Apple's new bet against the iPhone 17e in the entry-level mobile market, that could make the iPhones permanently a thing of the past.

Many people are looking forward to the new iPhone with more tangible prices, and most recently the news of the iPhone 17e has become increasingly clear that it is coming in early March. The key goal is to replace the original economy model and turn off the notched screen legend from the product line.

Back in the past, Apple often kept new screen technologies open only for high-priced models, but for the iPhone 17e, the most obvious change was the adoption of Dynamic Island as a replacement for the original notch, with a slippery software feature based on the new iPhone style, although the screen was still 6.1 inches and refreshed at 60Hz. Unfortunately, ProMotion technology was still reserved for the Pro model, but what compensated for it was a screen edge that was rumored to be noticeably thinner.

On the power side, the iPhone 17e is predicted to use a speed-down version of the A19 Bionic chip, which offers similar performance to today's A17 Pro. It is considered too strong for everyday use, including switching to a new generation of modems that manage power better, which is likely to please Thai users who are worried about heating and pumping long-time out-of-home batteries.

However, Apple is still wandering carefully so as not to affect mainstream model sales. The camera system is still using the same 48MP resolution single lens, but will focus on upgrading the smarter image processing software with the power of the A19 chip and has the chance to use the Fusion system that allows for sharper photos. The battery is expected to be in the range of 4,000 to 4,500 mAh, supporting charging through USB-C ports, and importantly, the MagSafe system will be added for use with a wider range of accessories like the seniors.

The most interesting of these is the price strategy, which is expected to launch at around $599 or in Thai money in the range of $21,000 to $23,000 for the initial capacity model, which is a price that most Thais decide to buy easily, and a key market segment that Apple does not allow its competitors to share easily.

Apple's decision this time was deemed reasonable, because they did not try to change their already-best-selling formula of success, but chose to improve on the spot of long-time user notch the screen to look more modern at an accessible price.

For anyone who's still using an older iPhone and looking for a new one that's not too strong, the iPhone 17e seems to be the perfect answer in years, but this is only an upgrade by year. It's not so much a reinvent of new technology that it's a wow. It depends on whether you're satisfied with a 60Hz screen and a single camera.
