Jackson Hole Eats
Its all about balance. I definitely had healthy, protein & veggie (even pickled/fermented for gut health) forward meals, but I also had some fries & donuts.
I can say I didn't have a bad meal in Jackson Hole, but these were my favorites.
Oh plus the Healthy Being Cafe & juicery.

When I first planned my trip to Jackson Hole, I expected breathtaking scenery and incredible outdoor adventures. What I didn't fully anticipate was the truly unique and diverse food scene waiting to be explored! It wasn't just about finding good meals; it was about stumbling upon culinary gems that added an extra layer of magic to my travel experience. One of the first things that struck me was the prevalence of huckleberry. This isn't just a berry; it's a taste of the region! I tried a surprisingly good huckleberry donut – though some might find the frosting a bit much, the flavor was definitely distinct. But my absolute favorite was the Snake River Huckleberry Lemonade. It's the perfect refreshing drink after a day of hiking, with just the right balance of sweet and tart, and you can really taste that authentic huckleberry essence. If you see anything huckleberry on a menu, give it a try – it's a true local specialty. What really surprised me was the incredible array of international flavors available. Who expects to find authentic Korean BBQ in a Wyoming mountain town? But at Bapp, I enjoyed a fantastic Korean and American meal with perfectly grilled meat, purple rice, kimchi, and those wonderful pickled vegetables. It felt incredibly fresh and vibrant, and knowing it was packed with protein and fermented fibers made it even better. Then there was the discovery of Tacos Estabon near Dubois. Their carne asada plate was a revelation – tender meat, flavorful rice and beans, and a fresh salad, all enjoyed on a charming patio with a river view. And don't even get me started on the esquites! This Mexican street corn salad, topped with mayo, cilantro, chili powder, and lime, was an absolute 10/10. It’s definitely a must-try if you love bold, savory flavors. Even classic American comfort food gets a unique twist here. I found myself craving something hearty, and Liberty burger's smash burger did not disappoint. Paired with crispy fries and delicious garlic aioli, it was a solid 10/10 meal. And for something a little different, D.O.G. offered crispy tater tots with chipotle sauce alongside a satisfying steak burrito – a combination I never knew I needed, but now I can't imagine Jackson Hole without it! It wasn't all indulgent, though. Finding balance was surprisingly easy. Places like the Healthy Being Cafe & Juicery offered fantastic fresh and wholesome options. And even my breakfast at Snake River Roastery was a gourmet experience: a hearty bowl with fried eggs, shredded meat, sun-dried tomatoes, and pickled red onions. It was a delicious and energizing start to the day. My biggest tip for finding unique food in Jackson Hole is to be adventurous and don't be afraid to ask locals for their secret spots. Sometimes the best discoveries are tucked away off the main square. Whether you're craving something healthy, a surprising international dish, or a gourmet take on comfort food, Jackson Hole's culinary scene truly offers something unique for every palate. Happy eating!
