journaling to remember my travels 🌎
one thing i’ve learned to love recently is using my film camera & journaling with the pictures that i take.
honestly, i love it as much as i love washi tapes and stickers 😜
visiting STL has been on my bucket list and finally we were able to cross it off! 🌃
writing about my feelings, places we’ve been, and things we’ve bought (souvenirs).. it’s a really neat way to look back on every little detail.
something as small as remembering to save your receipt and buy a postcard goes a long way!
what do you like to add in your travel spreads? 🧳
Travel journaling is a wonderful way to preserve your adventures and relive memories for years to come. Using a film camera adds an authentic, nostalgic touch to your travel journal, making each photo feel special and tangible compared to digital pictures. Including physical items such as postcards, receipts, ticket stubs, and souvenirs adds texture and depth, transforming your journal into a multi-sensory scrapbook. One creative idea is to use themed stickers and washi tapes to decorate your pages. This not only brightens up your journal visually but also helps organize different entries or highlights, like places visited, food tasted, or special moments. Many travelers enjoy collecting postcards at iconic sites such as the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, preserving not just images but the connection to the place itself. Taping these postcards alongside photos and notes helps keep those memories vivid. Remembering to jot down your feelings and experiences after each day brings an emotional layer that photos alone can’t capture. Your reflections about the sights you see, people you meet, and even the souvenirs you buy will make your travel journal uniquely yours. Simple details, like saving the receipt of a local café or museum ticket, can spark memories of that exact moment. If you’re visiting national monuments or parks, adding brief historical facts or personal thoughts can enhance the usefulness of your journal as a travel guide and personal diary. Moreover, collecting stamps or stickers related to your destinations can provide fun visual cues and a rewarding sense of completion. Ultimately, your travel journal is a creative expression of your journey. It’s perfectly fine to keep it casual, fun, or artistic. What matters most is that it helps you remember and cherish your travel experiences long after the trip ends. So, gather your camera, washi tapes, stickers, postcards, and start your journey in journaling your travel stories!

I love this idea!!! Thank you for sharing. I’m going to start doing this from now on. 🥰
