🫧 apps for the smart girlies 🫧

befreed: the easiest way to read books, because there is no extra information, there are plenty of books to choose from, and i can read multiple books a week. my favorite feature are:

-20 minute podcasts

-30 minute deep dives

-flashcards (my personal favorite).

elevate: a daily app that reminds me to elevate parts of my brain like memory, quick thinking, critical analysis, and more.

edx: the free way to take classes online. chose from ivy-league level classes, to state school curriculums, and in between, and learn just about anything you want.

... Read moreOkay, so you've heard about some amazing apps for boosting your brain, but let me tell you why these have become non-negotiables in my daily routine, especially BeFreed and edX. I'm always looking for ways to learn more efficiently and keep my mind sharp, and these two have truly revolutionized how I approach self-improvement. First up, let's talk about BeFreed. If you're like me, you probably have a never-ending reading list. BeFreed isn't just another e-reader; it’s a game-changer for speed reading and comprehension. I honestly thought the claim of improving reading speed by 10x sounded too good to be true, but after using it, I've seen a noticeable difference. It has these fantastic 20-minute podcasts and 30-minute deep dives that break down complex books into digestible summaries. This means I can absorb the core ideas of several books a week, which was impossible before! My absolute favorite feature, though, has to be the flashcards. They’re perfect for solidifying key concepts and testing my understanding, making sure the knowledge really sticks. I've been able to tackle books on topics like 'Long-Term Thinking' and even 'Algorithms to Live By' with so much more confidence and speed. What truly sets BeFreed apart is its smart approach to learning. I love seeing my progress – tracking my 7-day reading streaks, how many books I've finished, and the total learning time. It’s incredibly motivating to see those numbers grow! Plus, the personalized recommendations are spot-on. It feels like the app really understands my interests, suggesting books that align with my learning style and goals, like boosting my entrepreneurship knowledge. And get this: there's even a 'Chat with the book' AI feature! It’s like having a personal tutor for every book. If I’m stumped on a concept, I can just ask a question, and it provides an instant, clear explanation. This has been a lifesaver for really digging deep into complex subjects without feeling overwhelmed. Then there's edX. For anyone dreaming of an Ivy League education without the hefty price tag, this app is your golden ticket. I honestly couldn’t believe the quality of courses available for free. From computer science to humanities, you can literally learn anything you've ever wanted, taught by professors from world-renowned universities. I’ve personally used it to brush up on some advanced topics and even explore new fields I was curious about. It’s not just lectures; many courses include assignments, quizzes, and even discussion forums, making it a truly interactive learning experience. It's an incredible resource for skill development or just satisfying intellectual curiosity. I think of it as my personal university, always accessible right from my phone. And let's not forget Elevate. While BeFreed and edX handle the heavy lifting of knowledge acquisition, Elevate is my daily brain workout. It’s a fun, engaging way to keep my memory sharp, improve my quick thinking, and enhance critical analysis skills with just a few minutes each day. Together, these apps create a powerful ecosystem for continuous personal and professional development. If you're serious about being a 'smart girlie' who’s always learning and growing, give BeFreed, edX, and Elevate a try. You won't regret it!
