Worst highlight I own

So this highlight (a true 2016 throwback iykyk) is really pretty on my skin if I blend it well enough.. but I can never wear it over makeup no matter what foundation I use, or what technique I try. When I put it on over makeup it takes everything off and just leaves a patch with nothing and I have to reapply my makeup in that one spot and try to make it seamless again!
