Cuddling with my baby boy
When I had to bring my breastfeeding journey to a close when my son was 3 months old, I was so scared. Scared we wouldn’t bond as well. Scared he wouldn’t rely on me as much because anyone could feed him now. Scared that the (very obvious) right choice was wrong.
Having a baby with CMPA can be heartbreaking, especially when you have to give up something so special and sacred as breastfeeding because it’s the best choice for your baby. But, sometimes the hardest choice is the best one, and I will never regret what that change has done for my son now that he can function without pain. He’s way ahead on milestones and has been since 2 months after the switch, he’s happy, he laughs and claps all day long, and at the end of the day loves to snuggle up with his mama on the couch.
This is your reminder that, no matter how you feed your baby, they will love, adore, look-up to and look for you no matter what🤍
