Chanced upon a TikTok talking about this place and when we arrived, it had such a long queue!!! Waited for about 30mins before we got a seat on a Friday night~
First of all, FREE FLOW SIDES! i wasn’t expecting much, but i really enjoyed the cucumbers! super refreshing and addictive lol. the kimchi and corn (good to defuse the spice hahah) was good too!
⭐️Mama ‘Shake Shake’ Rice Bowl (Dosirak) | $5.90
Almist every table ordered this and I UNDERSTAND WHY. it was a burst of flavour and had a mild sweetness to it! i could eat this again and again! really enjoyed thiss 😋 good mix of tobiko, seaweed and mayo YUM 5/5
⭐️5 pc Boneless Fried Chicken — Honey Garlic | $8.90
Chicken was reallyy crispy and marinated well!! sweet but not too sweet, just a tad bit oily and recommend sharing! felt abit too much after awhile 4/5!
We added instant noodles (+$4.60~ after gst… was abit steep) This was pretty good! Recommended for 2 pax. The beef was tender and nice (not the 90% tough fatty kind). came with glass noodles, tofu, loads of kimchi, enoki mushrooms and clams! enjoyed this too hehe, not toooo spicy. 4.5/5!
total was about $53~ for 2!
Overall, would I be back? yes!!! it was yummy and also halal-friendly, so if you are considering that, this place might be a great spot for your next hangout! 😋

First, be prepared to wait, especially on weekends or peak hours. The long queue is a testament to how popular this spot has become, so going early or on weekdays might save you some time.
One fantastic feature is the free-flow sides, including cucumber, kimchi, and corn. I found the cucumbers especially addictive and a great palate cleanser between bites of spicy dishes.
The Mama 'Shake Shake' Rice Bowl is a must-try. Its sweet and savory profile, combined with tobiko, seaweed, and mayo, creates a delightful mix that's both comforting and exciting. Honestly, I could eat multiple bowls of this!
If you're sharing, the Honey Garlic Boneless Fried Chicken is best split due to its richness. The crispy coating and well-marinated chicken were delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness.
For something heartier, the Kimchi Mama Stew Pot with beef is excellent and meant for two people. It comes loaded with tender beef, tofu, glass noodles, enoki mushrooms, and clams. Adding instant noodles was a bit pricey but made the stew even more filling.
Also, since the place is halal-friendly, it’s a great option if you’re seeking tasty Korean dishes that meet dietary requirements.
Remember to bring some patience, but trust me—the food is worth the wait. Whether you’re a Korean food enthusiast or just curious, Kimchi Mama offers a satisfying taste experience in a friendly and casual setting.
