What happened to you is not your fault🫶

No one asks to live a life of trauma and suffering. It’s painful and unfair. But unfortunately it’s the reality of most people on this earth.

So many of us spend our lives wondering why this is happening. What did we do to deserve to be so mistreated?

Most of our trauma comes from another person’s unhealed wounds, who’s trauma comes from another’s unhealed wounds, and so on. It’s a nasty ripple of unhealed individuals who never learned to break the cycle, took the easy road, and passed that trauma onto you.

Your trauma is not your fault.

Healing. That’s your responsibility. Because not only will you be healing yourself, you will be saving someone else from enduring the pain that you have once been through.

Start by understanding why certain people are the way they are.

Why do they hurt you? Because they’ve also been hurt in some way in their life that has made lasting effects on them.

Are you going to pass that hurt onto someone else?

Or are you going to set the record straight and make that cycle end with you? No one else is going to do it for you. 🤍

Another important aspect is setting boundaries with people who continue to perpetuate harm. Saying no or limiting contact can be essential for your recovery and breaking the harmful cycle. By consciously choosing not to pass on trauma, you create space for healthier interactions and foster generational healing. Remember, healing is not linear. There will be setbacks, but every step towards awareness and self-compassion is progress. Embrace the journey as an act of self-love and a gift to future generations. You don’t have to carry the weight of trauma alone—reach out to trusted friends, mentors, or professionals when you need support. Ultimately, by taking responsibility for your healing, you become a catalyst for change, ending the ripple of unresolved pain and helping build a foundation of hope and resilience for yourself and others.
