EXPOSING HOW TO GROW ON LEMON8 + TIPS AND RECEIPT
I’ve been on Lemon8 for over a year now and I see tons of post of people saying how they are not growing or they’re giving (after only posting for a month). I want to make this post to help share some tips and encourage people to continue because with Lemon8 being a new app, you never know where this app can take you but in this post specifically I want to cover some topics that I see a lot and want to elaborate on. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
1. Aesthetic matters ‼️
I know a lot of people on this app wants to be unaesthetic and real (and you can still do that), but in reality it does matter and it does help your account grow. For me personally I like seeing aesthetic posts it is really eye pleasing to look at. As you can see my top performing post all color coordinate and it’s just super aesthetic and clean overall (in my opinion). Also, I know a lot of people don’t like having a niche, but it really does help in the end. If you look at my account, you see that I post gaming content (originally I posted random content like lifestyle) so all my followers expect gaming content from me. so when you follow my account, you know what to expect and you have a reason to follow my account if that makes sense.
I also noticed that posting outside my neice doesn’t always do well and personal post don’t do well either. Try offering advice, suggestions, Tips thoses do well! Lemon8 is an inspo app, people look for inspiration and tips etc.
2. In my opinion, growing on Lemon8 has been the easiest platform I ever grew on. Just like everyone else I start with zero followers. In January 2024 I only had 270 followers because I joined the app in like June of 2023. Through consistently posting gaming content for the past eight months that’s how I was able to gain over 10,000 followers in such a short amount of time. there’s no secret but just be consistent, choosing a niche, and being aesthetic that’s all. I’ve seen some people post for like a month and be like “oh I’m not gaining any followers”, but they have 200 followers and that’s actually pretty good and if you keep it up you’ll reach 1000 or 5000 in no time. It doesn’t happen overnight it truly takes time, hard work, and consistency, dedication, and discipline. And that goes for every social platform!
Pro tip like I mentioned in my other post about how to grow on Lemon8 being very active actually helps. So actively engaging commenting, replying, liking, joining the challenges an all help grow your account as well.
3. You don’t need to have a lot of followers to be in the creative program. As you can see in the third post I posted above. I join the creator program on January 5 and at that time I only had 200 followers. Honestly, they are just looking for people that are super active and they’re also looking for accounts that has a niche and I say that because they are different categories of program. I’m in the productivity program which covers gaming, tech, photography. That’s why I say having a niche truly helps to become a great creator lemon8. They are also other programs like parenting, cars, fitness, beauty, fashion etc. so niching down helps.
4. Lastly for this post I seen comments about you have to be in the creator program or have a lot of followers to win these challenges which in reality is not true. If you look at other winners in other challenges, you can see that some people have as little as 100 followers. (I’ll admit yes having a lot does help). In my opinion, I think the more you post for challenges the more likely you can rack up points and the more active you are helps as well.
Another Tip: read the terms and conditions of challenges a lot of times they have the answer to most of your questions in it and it also elaborates on details and give out super important information when it comes to lucky draws etc. For example one challenge mentioned how much of each stuff they give away in lucky day (let’s say 10 Amazon cards) so ofc once they run out ofc you wont win anything.
5. Lastly, I didn’t mention this in the post above. I want to talk about the correlation between views and likes. Please remember that this isn’t like TikTok and Instagram. From the year that I’ve been on lemon8, yes, your views is going to be way bigger than your likes and saves. You can see I have one post with over half a million views, but only 19K likes. On Instagram it would be different where you have 1 million views and 1 million likes as well. so just try not to look at that too much and stress about it.
If you do want something to focus on, I say focus on the views. Look at what gets the most views and analyze why it gets so many views.
Like, Saves, and Comments are basically bonus points

I’ve spent countless hours comparing my statistics, much like the profile snapshots I’ve seen others share, showing millions of impressions and thousands of saves. What do these numbers really tell us? First, let's talk Impressions. These show how many times your content was *seen*. A high impression count means your content is getting exposure, but it doesn't necessarily mean people are *engaging*. Then there are Views, which are crucial. As the main article mentions, views often far outpace likes on Lemon8, and that’s okay! I personally noticed that analyzing which of my gaming posts got the most views – for instance, specific "Horror Roblox Games" content – really helped me understand what topics resonated best with my audience. Don't just chase views for vanity; use them as a compass. What themes, aesthetics, or advice in your top-viewed posts can you replicate or expand upon? Next, Likes and Saves. While likes are great for ego boosts, saves are pure gold. When someone saves your post, it means they found it genuinely useful and want to refer back to it. This tells the algorithm your content is high-quality and valuable. To get more saves, think about creating actionable guides, inspiring outfit ideas, handy recipes, or detailed reviews – content people genuinely want to keep. This is where your aesthetic and niche truly shine. If your Lemon8 profile is known for providing helpful tech tips or beautiful home decor inspiration, users are more likely to save your posts. Beyond metrics, let's talk about refining your niche. The original post highlighted how important a niche is, and I couldn't agree more. Once you have a general niche, try to find smaller "content pillars" within it. For example, if your niche is 'Beauty,' your pillars might be 'Skincare Routines,' 'Makeup Tutorials for Beginners,' and 'Product Reviews.' This gives you a clear roadmap for consistent content and helps your audience know exactly what to expect from your Lemon8 profile. I’ve personally seen how sticking to my gaming content, and sometimes even specific game genres, leads to much better engagement than when I briefly tried to post more general lifestyle content. Finally, remember that growth isn't just about what you post, but how you interact. Go beyond just clicking 'like' on other posts. Leave thoughtful comments, ask questions, and genuinely engage with content from creators in your niche. This builds community, gets your name seen, and can organically drive more people to view your Lemon8 profile. It's a two-way street, and the more you pour into the community, the more you'll likely receive back. Keep experimenting, keep learning from your stats, and keep sharing your unique perspective. Your growth journey is unique, but these deeper insights can definitely help pave the way.
