Women’s History Month Day 30: The Inhumans

Day 30 with our last Marvel team. Well wouldn’t say team more like race of super beings that should definitely be in more media(I blame to TV show). Presenting The Inhuman.

... Read moreAs a longtime Marvel fan, I’ve always found The Inhumans to be a fascinating group because they aren’t just another superhero team—they represent a distinct race with rich lore that often gets overlooked. Unlike other Marvel characters, The Inhumans have a complex society with their own culture and powers, derived from Terrigen Mist exposure, which truly sets them apart. One thing that resonates with me is how The Inhumans highlight diverse characters, including powerful women who play crucial roles in their stories. Celebrating them during Women’s History Month feels particularly meaningful because it shines a light on female heroes who have historically been in the shadows compared to their solo counterparts. Unfortunately, the limited media adaptations, particularly the short-lived TV show, haven’t done justice to the depth and potential of The Inhumans. It’s a shame because their storylines explore themes of leadership, identity, and the clash between tradition and modernity, which are highly relatable. Fans like myself hope to see more prominent inclusion of these characters in future Marvel projects, whether in comics, animated series, or movies. Personally, learning about The Inhumans during this special month has inspired me to revisit classic comics featuring characters like Medusa, Crystal, and Black Bolt, appreciating their strength and complexity anew. Engaging with their stories also encourages discussion about representation and the importance of expanding narratives beyond the usual superhero arcs, especially recognizing the contributions of women in these fantastical worlds.
