Review of Today's Life with Teacher Career
Teachers in Thailand today are not just tired of "teaching children," but like everything in school, except to be a full-body teacher, sometimes exhausted, like, or really, we should quit, but we really like teaching.
Many people still imagine that teachers are stable, have a lot of holidays, have a pension, but the truth is that many teachers are quietly burning out of the system that throws everything into their responsibilities, including paperwork, evaluation, projects, activities, administrative work, financial work, childcare work, to non-teaching work. There is a survey that reflects that many Thai teachers work more than 8 hours a day and spend a lot of time on non-teaching work, which is true. Sometimes, late at night, people still send work to do.
The sad thing is that many times teachers are expected to make too many sacrifices. Their salary is not related to their workload. They have to give up their money to buy teaching equipment. Sometimes they want to do well. For children, the budget in their pockets is not that good.
The education system is also full of a culture of power and pressure. Many schools value their image, documentation and assessment more than the quality of their learning. Some teachers have to sit down and make files until late at night, but do not have time to develop real teaching until the end of the child does not get anything, and the teacher is constantly exhausted. New policies that say that they can do it, but they do not. Today, they still question the system. 😔 #
Income is not worth it, progress is full of procedures, and mental health is constantly depressed. There are many cases of news and echoes from teachers about the cumulative stress of the workload in the education bureaucracy. อาชีพครูในประเทศไทยไม่ได้ง่ายอย่างที่หลายคนคิดไว้จริงๆ จากประสบการณ์ที่ได้พบเจอและพูดคุยกับครูหลายท่าน สิ่งที่น่าตกใจก็คือครูในสังคมปัจจุบันต้องทำงานหนักกว่าการสอนในห้องเรียนเป็นอย่างมาก พวกเขาถูกมอบหมายให้ดูแลเรื่องเอกสาร ประเมินผล การจัดกิจกรรม รวมถึงงานธุรการและงานการเงินที่หนักเกินหน้าที่หลักจริงๆ แม้กระทั่งต้องใช้เวลาเกิน 8 ชั่วโมงต่อวัน ความกดดันที่เพิ่มขึ้นนี้ไม่ได้ช่วยสร้างคุณภาพการเรียนรู้อย่างแท้จริง ในทางกลับกัน กลับทำให้ครูรู้สึกหมดแรงและเครียดสะสม หลายคนต้องควักเงินตัวเองซื้ออุปกรณ์การสอน และแม้จะพยายามอย่างเต็มที่ แต่ก็ยังรู้สึกว่าระบบราชการที่ซับซ้อนและการประเมินที่เน้นภาพลักษณ์มากกว่าคุณภาพ กลายเป็นอุปสรรคต่อการพัฒนาวิชาชีพครูและเด็กๆ ในฐานะบุคคลที่เคยสัมผัสกับวงการการศึกษาอย่างใกล้ชิด ผมเชื่อว่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงจำเป็นจะต้องมาจากทั้งการปรับนโยบายและทัศนคติของสังคม ที่ควรให้คุณค่ากับครูจริงๆ มากกว่าการมองเพียงแค่ความมั่นคงหรือวันหยุด ควรมีการสนับสนุนให้งานสอนเป็นหัวใจหลัก และลดงานอื่นที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้องลงเพื่อให้ครูได้ทุ่มเทกับการพัฒนาเด็กอย่างเต็มที่ สุดท้าย สิ่งที่อยากส่งต่อคือการให้กำลังใจครูทุกท่านที่ยังคงรักและทุ่มเทกับอาชีพนี้ ท่ามกลางความยากลำบาก ผมเชื่อว่าความตั้งใจและใจรักในการสอนจะเป็นพลังสำคัญที่จะช่วยผลักดันให้วงการศึกษาของไทยเดินหน้าไปด้วยคุณภาพและความยั่งยืน
