妊娠中に一番戸惑ったのが、「胎動とは何か」が最初よく分からないことでした。私はお腹がゴロゴロ鳴る感じや、腸が動くような波打ちを「胎動かも？」と思っていましたが、後から振り返ると腸の動きだった日も多かったです。 胎動とは、赤ちゃんが子宮の中で手足を動かしたり、体勢を変えたりした時にお腹の内側から感じる動きのこと。感じ方は「ポコッ」「コツン」「ピクピク」「ぐにょーん」など人によって本当にバラバラです。一方で腸の動きは、一定のリズムで“移動していく”感じがあったり、食後やガスが溜まっている時に強くなったりします。私は「食後に増える」「お腹が張る/ガスっぽい」で腸の動きの可能性が高いと気づきました。 次に気になるのが「胎児の向き」。正直、素人が“触ってわかる”は断言できませんが、目安になることはあります。お腹の上の方が硬く丸くて「ボールみたい」なら赤ちゃんのお尻、下腹部の奥に丸くて硬いものを感じやすいなら頭…と言われます。ただし、脂肪のつき方・羊水量・胎盤の位置（前置ではなく前壁など）でも触れ方は変わります。強く押すのは避けて、手のひらでそっと広く触る程度にして、確実に知りたい時は健診でエコー確認が一番安心です。 「赤ちゃんの大きさを例えると？」も検索しがちですが、例えはあくまでイメージ。私は果物サイズの表現で気持ちが少し落ち着く反面、実感が湧きすぎて不安が増す日もありました。そんな時は“週数ごとの目安”を見すぎないで、健診の結果（推定体重や発育曲線）を主軸にしました。 そして、予定外の妊娠で心が追いつかない時は「自分だけで抱えない」が本当に大事です。学生出産や学内託児室の話題のように、学業と子育ての両立支援（託児、休学制度、金銭的支援）があるケースもあります。自治体の母子保健窓口、妊娠SOS、女性相談、里親・養子縁組の相談窓口など、状況に合わせた選択肢を一緒に整理してくれる場所があるので、検索して電話やチャットで相談してみてください。決めつけられるのが怖い時ほど、「匿名でOK」の窓口から始めると動きやすかったです。
