Lip combo to try
Quick lip combo to try. I used a dark brown lip pencil from one of my local beauty supply store. The lipstick is from Fashion Nova “Sus”, a pretty nude pink. I've always found that combining a lip liner with a matching or slightly contrasting lipstick can transform a simple makeup look into something more polished and chic. When I first tried using a dark brown lip pencil alongside a nude pink lipstick like Fashion Nova's 'Sus', it was impressive how just a subtle darkening around the edges added dimension and made my lips appear fuller. One tip I learned is to gently smudge the pencil inward before applying lipstick to avoid harsh lines, creating a natural gradient effect. This method especially works well with nude or pinkish lipsticks, providing an elegant yet understated look suitable for work, casual outings, or even daytime events. Another advantage of this combo is that it eliminates the need for a full liner application, which can be time-consuming. Using just the pencil to tweak the shade enables quick customization of your lip color intensity, making it highly versatile. Plus, since the dark brown pencil is a staple found in many local beauty supply stores, it’s an accessible product for most beauty enthusiasts. Moreover, this lip combo complements various skin tones by balancing warmth and softness, and it pairs effortlessly with minimal eye makeup for a fresh-faced appearance. For those who like experimenting, gently layering a bit of gloss over this combo can add subtle shine and enhance the shape further. Sharing this quick lip combo has become one of my favorite easy makeup hacks to brighten my look without overwhelming the face. I encourage anyone wanting to try a nuanced lip color adjustment to give this combination a shot—it’s simple, affordable, and delivers lovely, natural results.
