Beef stir fry
I absolutely love making stir fry because it’s so easy to make. I like pairing with white rice and it makes such a satiating lunch or dinner.
Steps:
1) To a slightly greased pan, add chopped beef.
2) Once the beef is cooked, add sliced yellow onion.
3) Allow the onion to cook a bit and then you’ll want to transfer the onion and beef to a bowl.
4) Add a pack of frozen stir fry veggies to the pan.
5) Once the veggies defrost, add the beef and onion back into the pan.
6) Add seasonings such as salt, garlic powder, and pepper flakes.
7) Mix.
8) Add about 5 tbsp of soyaki sauce.
9) Mix and enjoy!
As someone who enjoys quick and satisfying meals, I find that using frozen stir fry vegetables like broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, and sugar snap peas offers both convenience and nutrition. This combination provides a colorful, crunchy mix that pairs wonderfully with the tender cooked beef and sweet-savory Soyaki sauce. When preparing the dish, I like to slightly grease the pan before adding chopped beef to prevent sticking and promote even browning. Cooking the beef first and then sautéing the sliced yellow onions in the same pan allows the onions to soak up the delicious beef flavor. After setting the beef and onions aside, defrosting the frozen stir fry veggies right in the pan keeps the process simple and avoids extra cleanup. Adding seasonings like garlic powder, salt, and pepper flakes enhances the flavor profile without overpowering the fresh ingredients. The Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce, a unique blend of teriyaki and soy flavors, gives the dish a delightful sweetness with a hint of umami that complements the beef and veggies perfectly. For serving, I typically pair the stir fry with steamed white rice, which makes the meal more filling and helps balance the savory sauce. Alternatively, you can serve it over noodles or even enjoy it as a low-carb option by pairing with cauliflower rice. This beef stir fry is incredibly versatile and a great weekday recipe for those seeking a quick, nutritious, and comforting meal. Plus, the minimal steps and use of readily available ingredients make it accessible for cooks of all skill levels.
