Through my personal experience, I realized that many of us confuse attention with love or mistake attachment for true connection. This misunderstanding often stems from a lack of inner observation—the ability to witness our thoughts and emotions without getting entangled in them. Inspired by Michael Singer's philosophy in "The Untethered Soul," I began practicing mindfulness to become the observer of my mental and emotional states. This practice helped me see clearly that the bare minimum effort in my relationships and pursuits was not genuine care but a form of complacency. True abundance emerged when I committed to healing these patterns and understanding that love and connection require conscious, wholehearted engagement beyond superficial attention. The phrase "Heal so you can see that attention is not love, attachment is not connection, and bare minimum is not effort" beautifully captures this insight. By healing our inner wounds and cultivating awareness, we can differentiate authentic connections from illusions, leading to more fulfilling relationships and a richer, more abundant life. Healing is not just about fixing feelings but about opening yourself to deeper awareness and genuine presence, which ultimately fosters real effort and love.
