She may be pocket-sized… but her personality stomps cities. 😂
I present to you the smallest big person I know… Kim a.k.a. the Godzilla of personality. A walking explosion of crystal confetti. In the character community, she’s basically the Kaiju of Trinkets.
Her love of clowns, tiny pins, crystals, and all things shiny inspired this drawing. I wanted to capture every glittering ounce of it. The first image that came to mind was ambitious (okay… A LOT of work), but rules are rules. I always go with my first thought, no matter how wild the project becomes.
She gave one of the best reactions I’ve ever gotten… and then took it a step further by asking if she could get one of the clowns tattooed. Of course I said yes! I even redrew and cleaned up the design to make life easier for the tattoo artist. Teamwork makes the ink work. 😉
Kim, you colossal titan of awesome! Thank you for always bringing joy to the booth and leaving happiness in your wake.
And thank “Y O U” for taking the time to read the backstory! If you’ve been following for a while, I hope to post a drawing of YOU one day. And if you’re not following yet… I highly recommend it 😊 We have fun here.
My next stop is the Strawberry Festival! Just look for the yellow Quick Draw booth between the bathrooms and the Storm Ride!

As someone who has always appreciated the energy and uniqueness that individuals bring to creative collaborations, I found Kim's story truly inspiring. When artists embrace not just the physical likeness of their subjects but also their vibrant personalities, the result is unforgettable art that resonates deeply. In my experience attending festivals and interacting with caricature artists, the connection between artist and subject often sparks ideas that go beyond the initial drawing. For example, the way Kim's love for clowns and shiny trinkets led to a tattoo design shows how art can transform into a lifelong personal statement. Collaborating closely with the tattoo artist by refining the design beforehand is critical — it ensures the final tattoo captures the spirit of the original art while making the process smoother. This approach highlights the importance of teamwork and thoughtful planning when bringing character art to life permanently on skin. Moreover, the joy and positivity Kim brings to every interaction remind me that art is as much about the experience as it is about the end product. Festivals like the Strawberry Festival offer a unique space where creators and fans celebrate creativity together, often resulting in meaningful personal stories like Kim's. For anyone exploring caricature or tattoo designs, embracing your personality and interests can turn your ideas into exceptional, personalized art pieces that tell your story in brilliant and glittering detail.
