things they don’t tell you about newborns!
sooo many things i learned as a first time mom to a baby girl! here’s some🎀🌿
the amount of sleep you will lose is something i was prepared for but also was completely unprepared for 🤣
newborns pee & poop sooo much! i changed her diaper about every 30 minutes when she was tiny it was crazy!!
colic, i had a very colic baby & i thought it was super rare & she would be perfectly fine, it was such a struggle but i wish i would’ve done my research before hand for sure
this one was on me but definitely was shocked how much they eat every 2 hours 24/7 was exhausting to say the least😅
even if your baby is sleeping you probably aren’t, they grunt & make noises constantly in their sleep which is obviously not peaceful lol
you have to teach them to latch to a binky, luckily my girl took one pretty immediately but it takes time but it’s such a great soother definitely recommend!!
i thought that i would still be living my normal life & she would adjust to my schedule but i was mistaken you definitely go with them, you follow their schedule
thanks for sticking around, i can definitely make a part 2 if anyone was interested i love youuu🩷🌵

As a first-time parent, understanding the nuances of caring for a newborn can be overwhelming. Common topics include the frequency of diaper changes, as it's typical for newborns to need changing every few hours due to their small bladders and high intake of milk. Sleep is another crucial aspect; you're likely to discover that while your baby sleeps, you might be awake due to their various sounds and movements. New parents should also be aware of colic, a condition that causes excessive crying in infants, typically peaking around 6 weeks and often resolving by 3-4 months. To cope, parents might benefit from researching effective soothing techniques and routines. Frequent feeding is another new experience for parents, as newborns usually require nourishment every 2-3 hours, demanding a patient and adaptable approach. Establishing a feeding schedule that accommodates your baby’s needs while balancing your own rest is essential. Lastly, learning to help your baby latch onto a pacifier or binky can aid in soothing, making those demanding hours slightly easier. Don’t hesitate to seek support and advice from fellow parents, and remember, every newborn journey is unique!

Oh my goodness!!! No one told me about the newborn grunts when they’re asleep!! 😭 it was my favorite!! I lost sleep because they were so cute!! I didn’t want to miss them! I would have another baby tomorrow just to hear those little grunts again!
