All About Me

I just took a DNA test turns out I’m 100% a mutt 😂

When I received my results showing a blend of English (34.3%), Scottish and Welsh (20.3%), Germanic (12.9%), Dutch (10.2%), French (9.0%), Breton (4.9%), Irish (3.8%), and Danish (3.3%) ancestry, it truly felt like uncovering an intricate tapestry of cultures and histories within me. What surprised me the most was how these percentages reflect migrations and historical movement across Europe. For instance, the significant English and Scottish/Welsh heritage highlights the Celtic and Anglo-Saxon roots that have influenced much of British history. The Germanic and Dutch contributions tie back to ancient tribes and trade routes across the continent, while the French and Breton parts connect to Celtic traditions in France’s Brittany region. Even the smaller Irish and Danish percentages remind me that my family's story spans diverse places. From a personal perspective, learning about this complex ancestry made me appreciate how '100% a mutt' is really about being a blend of many proud cultures and histories. It also sparked curiosity to explore traditions, foods, and lore from these regions, enriching my sense of identity. For anyone considering a DNA test, I recommend embracing the results as a way to connect with a broader human story rather than seeking a singular identity. It's exciting to see genetic threads linking us to faraway ancestors and to realize how much diversity lives within each of us. This experience has made me more open-minded and proud of my unique multicultural heritage.

iOS 18! Let’s talk about it!
Every time there’s a new iOS, it does something to my little heart, I start planning in my head how I’m going to use new features to help me not only become more productive at my job or tasks, but also become a better me. I’ll be adding how I plan to use these features at work and or better myself.
