My mom put me on to this magazine and it felt like reading a diary about my inner child and my childhood experience
Growing up I experienced severe social anxiety to the point it was really difficult for me to speak up in classes or big groups or even as simple as ordering a meal.
Throughout my life I found music, art, and performance to become a form of self expression for me. Whether it’s me crafting a project or being on stage it always felt like a safe space for me even when I would be nervous. There were many feelings that I didn’t really express always verbally, but they were still valid. I didn’t understand it at times whether it was me internalizing others opinions of me or feeling ‘watched’ or ‘judged’ I learned that I create my own standards and should only consider god’s judgment above all. It’s helped me a lot especially through many difficult battles I’ve had to endure mentally. But for anyone who goes through something similar or just have a different way of thinking just know that I see you✨🙌🏽🥰
