"Implications of Quantum" Looking at Physics Through the Art of Light
The exhibition "Quantum Implications," a work of lighting design by the BBIT School of Architecture, the University of Agriculture (BBIT: Bachelor Program in Building Innovation and Technology), invites the audience to question the memory of the word physics through a new interpretation to become an experienced art that uses "light" as a medium of communication.
In general, when it comes to physics, many people think of complex equations, cosmic laws, or elusive theories, from gravity to particles to quantum physics that seem to be far from our daily lives, so this exhibition chooses to present physics in another way, not through texts, but through lighting designs that turn scientific ideas into artistic experiences that can be perceived by the audience through space and atmosphere.
The exhibition was held at the Widuli Building, the Swan Sumaly (Physics Building), the Faculty of Science, the University of Agriculture, the unique late 1960s modern architectural building from the bare concrete structure, geometric shapes and openings of the façade that controlled the light and shadow in the area. The architecture of the building was therefore not just a place of exhibition, but helped drive the emphasis on the concept of the exhibition, allowing the academic floor and the architectural building, to be reinterpreted as an experimental space of art.
Although the exhibition is only on display for one day (March 13, 2026), it leaves an important question to the audience: Physics may not be a distant science, and when viewed through art, scientific equations and theories can be reinterpreted as creativity.
