Imperfect Stories: Imperfect Stories
When scraps of paper, folds and torn images become a narrative space of memory, time and humanity.
"Imperfect Stories: Imperfect Stories," an exhibition that questions whether imperfection may be more beautiful than we thought, by the artist of the state of wisdom, selected by Supacha, a beautiful charm.
"Imperfect Stories" explores the concept of "imperfection" as a fundamental state of human existence. Under the context of contemporary societies that often value ideal perfection, artists question how, when humans are always trying to seek perfection, the impairments, folds, and discrepancies that arise along the way should be viewed.
Artists choose to use "creased paper" as the central symbol of the exhibition; folded, ripped, or crumpled paper, likening the traces of time, action, and experience accumulated in human life; what seems to be only an ordinary object, thus becoming a representation of memory that is always overlapped and changed; and it is the creation of a visual language that reflects the concepts of impermanence, aberration, and imperfection, in line with the Wabi-Sabi philosophy that values the traces of time and the simplicity of imperfect conditions.
"Imperfect Stories" does not only question perfection, but also invites us to see what seems defective or imperfect can be an important part of the process of understanding life, because sometimes the true story of man may not be recorded in a perfect picture, but in the folds, rips, and fragments of memory that we gradually piece together to understand ourselves and the world in which we live.

จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว การได้ชมงานนิทรรศการ "Imperfect Stories" ครั้งนี้ ทำให้ผมเข้าใจว่าความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบของชีวิตนั้นมีความงามและคุณค่าในตัวของมันเอง ที่ผ่านมาเรามักพยายามหลีกเลี่ยงข้อบกพร่องและแสวงหาความสมบูรณ์แบบตามอุดมคติ แต่จริงๆ แล้วรอยพับ รอยฉีกขาด หรือเศษกระดาษที่ดูเหมือนจะไร้ค่า กลับเป็นสิ่งที่บอกเล่าถึงเวลาที่ผ่านไป ประสบการณ์ และเรื่องราวที่ไม่อาจลบเลือนได้ ในนิทรรศการนี้ กระดาษยับถูกใช้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการดำรงอยู่และความทรงจำที่ไม่มีวันสมบูรณ์แบบ ส่วนตัวผมรู้สึกเชื่อมโยงกับแนวคิดวาบิ-ซาบิอย่างลึกซึ้ง เพราะมันสะท้อนถึงการยอมรับความไม่ถาวรและความไม่สมบูรณ์อย่างเรียบง่ายและงดงาม ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่เรามักมองข้ามในชีวิตประจำวันที่เร่งรีบ การมาชมนิทรรศการครั้งนี้จึงเป็นเหมือนการหยุดพักและเปิดใจให้กับความงดงามที่แท้จริงในความไม่สมบูรณ์ ซึมซับแรงบันดาลใจที่เปลี่ยนการมองชีวิตแบบเดิมๆ และช่วยให้ผมเห็นว่าความทรงจำและเรื่องราวที่แท้จริงของมนุษย์อาจไม่ได้อยู่ในภาพที่สมบูรณ์แบบ แต่ซ่อนอยู่ในร่องรอยที่ดูบกพร่องต่างหาก สำหรับใครที่สนใจ อย่าพลาดโอกาสดีๆ นี้ นิทรรศการจัดแสดงถึง 29 มีนาคม 2569 ณ People Gallery, BACC เปิดให้เข้าชมฟรีและเดินทางสะดวกด้วย BTS สนามกีฬาแห่งชาติ
