Anthony Chin - Questioning the Boundaries through sound placement and life-size elephant painting sculptures linked to the history of the building
Taiki Sakpisit - Explore Thai beliefs and spirits through sound experiences and kinetic art that will change atmospheric mass with time
Soe Yu Nwe - Interpret the Pradesh Court through ceramic works cast from organs, leaving traces of burning and ashes that look raw and real
HeeSue Kwon - Challenge with a screen-free projection chamber that reflects us through time to the past or the future with overlays from multiple directions
Hsu Che-Yu & Chen Wan-Yin - Use 3D image scanning technology to dismantle, assemble history and recreate event simulations
Daniel Hui - Taken into a dark room with burns, to hear echoes of the conversation of a displaced couple, in the midst of a turbulent era
Lieko Shiga - A video documenting the sight exchange of over a hundred couples on a motorcycle, relaying their time moving through Bangkok

This space responds perfectly to the dimness of the building, not relying on the supernatural...But the raw atmosphere slowly draws us into the mysteries of history and together to find meaning in this darkness.

ถ้าใครเสิร์ชหา “Spirits Melt to Flesh / spirit melt to flesh” แล้วกำลังลังเลว่าจะไปดีไหม บอกเลยว่านิทรรศการนี้เหมาะกับคนที่ชอบงานร่วมสมัยสายบรรยากาศ (immersive) แบบไม่ต้องมีผีจริง แต่ทำให้ “ความเร้นลับ” ของสถานที่ค่อยๆ ทำงานกับเราเอง สิ่งที่รู้สึกชัดมากคือ Bangkok Kunsthalle ใช้เสน่ห์ของตึกเก่ามาช่วยเล่าเรื่องได้ดี—ผนังที่มีร่องรอย พื้นที่แสงน้อย ความดิบของวัสดุ ทำให้หลายชิ้นงานดูจับต้องได้ขึ้น สมชื่อ Spirits Melt to Flesh จริงๆ แบบวิญญาณ/ความเชื่อค่อยๆ แปลงเป็นเนื้อเป็นรูปเป็นร่างผ่านเสียง ภาพ และวัตถุ แนะนำวิธีเดินชมให้ได้ฟีล: 1) เผื่อเวลาอย่างน้อย 1–2 ชั่วโมง เพราะงานที่เป็น “เสียง” ต้องยืนฟังสักพักถึงจะเข้าใจอารมณ์ และบางห้องยิ่งอยู่นานยิ่งเห็นรายละเอียด 2) เดินช้าๆ แล้วลองสังเกต “พื้นที่” ด้วย ไม่ใช่แค่งาน—หลายจุดเหมือนตั้งใจให้เรารับรู้รอยแยก เงา และความมืดของตึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของนิทรรศการ 3) ถ้าไปกับเพื่อน ลองแยกกันดูคนละมุมสักรอบแล้วค่อยมาแลกกัน เพราะประสบการณ์แต่ละคนไม่เหมือนกัน โดยเฉพาะงานที่มีเสียงซ้อนทับจากหลายทิศทาง ไฮไลต์ที่คนส่วนใหญ่มักชอบ (จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว): - โซนงานเสียง/สภาพแวดล้อม (sound + atmosphere) จะทำให้รู้สึกเหมือนอาคารมีชีวิต เหมาะกับคนชอบความเงียบๆ แต่กดดันนิดๆ - งานที่ใช้เทคโนโลยีอย่าง 3D scan จะให้มุมมอง “ความทรงจำ/ประวัติศาสตร์” ในแบบที่ไม่เหมือนอ่านป้ายข้อมูล คือเหมือนถูกชวนให้ตั้งคำถามว่า สิ่งที่เราเห็น/เชื่อ มันถูกประกอบขึ้นใหม่ได้เสมอ ทิปถ่ายรูป/ทำคอนเทนต์แบบไม่พลาด: - แสงในนิทรรศการค่อนข้างมืด แนะนำปรับโหมดกลางคืนหรือยก ISO นิดหน่อย แต่ระวังภาพแตก - ถ่าย “ป้ายชื่อ Spirits Melt to Flesh” หรือข้อความบนผนังที่เล่าเรื่องราว จะช่วยให้โพสต์ดูมีบริบท (โดยเฉพาะถ้าจะทำรีวิวสั้นๆ) - ถ้าอยากได้ภาพฟีลดิบๆ ให้ถ่ายติดผิวผนัง รอยไหม้ รอยแตกของตึก เพราะมันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของที่นี่ ข้อมูลที่ควรรู้ก่อนไป: นิทรรศการจัดที่ Bangkok Kunsthalle ชั้น 4–5 (ถ.ไมตรีจิตต์) เข้าชมฟรี และเปิดช่วง พุธ–อาทิตย์ 12.00–20.00 น. แนะนำไปช่วงบ่ายแก่ๆ ถึงเย็น แสงภายนอกเริ่มตก จะเข้ากับโทน “ความสลัว” ของงานมากเป็นพิเศษ ถ้าคุณชอบนิทรรศการที่ไม่ได้ยัดเยียดคำตอบ แต่ให้เราเดินเข้าไป “ค้นความหมายในความมืด” เอง Spirits Melt to Flesh เป็นอีกงานที่ควรปักหมุดไว้เลย
