My honest review of the $300 basic hair bundle
I opted up for the $385 basic package and was assigned to Shawn as my hairstylist. I shared some of my concerns with him — my flat hair and a bit of grey hair. I even brought suggestions like going for a shoulder-length perm and colouring. Shawn gave me thoughtful recommendations, and I ended up trusting his judgement.
He explained why colouring wouldn’t solve my grey hair issue since it would grow out quickly and be more obvious later. He told me I only had about 2–3% grey hair, so it’s really not a big problem yet, and I could just embrace it. Since I’m also honestly very lazy with hair upkeep, he suggested highlights instead, which made a lot more sense for my lifestyle.
The session started with a drink — the staff recommended her favourite lemongrass tea, and it looked so fancy. The ice balls even had rose petals inside. After that, we began the haircut, followed by highlights. While waiting, I could watch Netflix, and there’s even a small speaker beside the seat, which was nice. I also enjoyed their high tea set; the tarts were genuinely good.
Without even leaving my seat, I was moved over to start the hair spa. They used many steps and tools, but it felt like a little bit of everything rather than a thorough treatment. It was enjoyable, just not as detailed as I expected.
I loved the final result! All my concerns were addressed, and it looks great! They offered me a cup of coffee to end the session and even said I could stay longer to relax. I realised there were extra “perks” I wasn’t told about. Apparently, there was a list of things i could request for. e.g. a gift set? I saw they even offer cup noodles? The staff kept things very hush-hush, so I had no idea what I could or couldn’t ask for.
Overall, I really liked the hairstylist — he was honest, skilled, and gave me great advice. But the spa service and perks didn’t fully deliver. If you’re just going for a haircut or styling, this place might be worth it! But if you’re planning to try the full package, you might still enjoy it — maybe you can try out the perks they offer?

📍Address: Chez Vous Private Space
For those considering the Chez Vous hair salon, especially the basic package, it’s helpful to understand exactly what you’re getting for the price. The $385 package includes a haircut, express head spa, a choice of chemical services like highlights or balayage, plus free-flow beverages and a high-tea set. From my experience, the salon atmosphere felt private, comfortable, and relaxing with added touches like Netflix and a small speaker at the seat. If maintaining your hair color and health is important, note that the stylist discourages coloring for grey hair due to regrowth visibility and instead recommends highlights for longer-lasting effects without demanding upkeep. That honesty was refreshing. For anyone worried about hair spa treatments, the express head spa was more a mild indulgence than an intense treatment, so plan your expectations accordingly. As someone always balancing lifestyle and budget, I appreciated how the stylist considered my hair routines and preferences when suggesting services. Also, keep in mind the perks the salon offers, such as free beverages including unique lemongrass tea with rose petals and even surprising extras like cup noodles or gifts, although these were not proactively explained, so feel free to ask about available options during your visit. If you’re aiming for long-term hair health, growing your hair, reducing split ends, or keeping color bright, pairing salon visits with a good home routine is essential. Korean hair care products like Ryo Premium, known for being gentle on color-treated hair, can be a great addition to your regimen. For tools at home, investing in quality electric shavers or IPL hair removal devices can give you smooth and hygienic results, cutting down on frequent salon visits. Customer reviews of products such as Braun replacement parts highlight comfort and ease of use, although skin sensitivity can vary, so patch testing is recommended before extensive use. Finally, salon prices and services vary, so researching current price lists and reading recent reviews can help you make an informed decision tailored to your budget and hair care goals.
