Book Review: Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
The idea behind the story was great, but I found myself feeling lost at several points. The chapters often flipped between backstory and the present without warning, and the sudden shifts in point of view were confusing at first. It was an interesting concept, but I almost didn’t have the patience to push through because there was no context given upfront. I even skipped most of the “Pioneers” game section because new characters were introduced out of nowhere, and I couldn’t tell if it was a flashback or if the characters were inside a game. Only many many many pages later did the purpose of that chapter finally make sense.
It’s also not a typical theme for me, since the story revolves heavily around game creation and the gaming industry, but surprisingly, I could still follow through.
Despite the confusing structure, I still enjoyed the book. I appreciated how it reflects a more realistic version of working relationships — with conflicts and misunderstanding.
