For all those asking, I was 14 and he was 19 in college.
Here it is:
I was in computer class and decided to DM a random person that person turned out to be my future husband. imagine coming home at 14 telling your parents you met your future spouse, I did. I just knew he was the one. we exchanged emails and it started from there. we wrote back and forth for about a year before losing contact. He was busy with school and so was I. Eventually I moved to another state (Ga), dated a few people but it never worked out. Fast forward to when I turned 18, I got a random friend request ( on myspace) from someone who was friends with another friend of mine. we struck up a conversation and it was my person from when I was 14! we started dating in 2009 and a month later he sent me a promise ring that when we met in person he would propose to me. we dated online for 3 years before we were able to meet in person for the first time in pa ( where it all started). I was in pa helping my grandma out after she had surgery. we met and it was as if everything aligned to get us to where we are now. we went for a walk and he proposed to me, I said yes. My grandma was the first person I told after I got engaged. it's a very fond memory I have,( she since passed a few years ago now). After that we spent everyday together and eventually went back to ga so he could meet my mom and sisters. ( my parents are divorced, my dad lives in pa). we stayed in ga for awhile then eventually moved to New Mexico ( he formerly lived there working in the oil field)! He went back to working in the oil field , we set a wedding date. It got canceled due to family getting ill. we eventually just set another date. six months later we got married just the two of us and a few close friends.
