The K-1 visa process can be a daunting yet exciting journey for couples looking to unite in the United States. We initially met in college back in 2016 and began dating in August 2017, culminating in our engagement in February 2023. Our K-1 visa journey officially commenced on March 16, 2023, when we submitted our petition. A significant milestone occurred when we received a request for evidence on January 10, 2024, highlighting the importance of thorough documentation in the process. After providing the necessary information, we were thrilled to receive approval on March 20, 2024. This marked a pivotal point in our journey, and shortly after, on April 16, 2024, we received our National Visa Center (NVC) number, bringing us one step closer to our dream of being together. Currently, we are awaiting our interview date, which is often a nerve-wracking but crucial part of the K-1 visa process. It’s essential to be prepared for the interview by gathering all required documents and practicing potential questions. This preparation can alleviate anxiety and help ensure a smooth experience. As we wait for this significant day, we treasure the journey we've shared and look forward to spending forever with my best friend.
