What’s Your Truth? Ep.1 Series Intro
I’m using Lemon8 as my mini journal, a space to share my thoughts and my truth. You’re welcome to share yours in the comments if you feel led. I know someone out there might be feeling the same way but doesn’t know how to say it.
If I’m being honest, I don’t have a positive answer for why I’m struggling with my faith. Prayer doesn’t feel like the only answer anymore. I want words that actually explain what I’m going through, why I feel so hurt by God and by people who claim to know Him.
I could talk about how God saved me and how I was on fire for Him for years… but what happened? What happened to my faith? Somewhere along the way, I fell back into sin, temptation, and fear.
I’ve learned painful lessons from people who claimed to love me, yet left me hating myself even more. I’ve turned to corngraphy (replace the ‘c’ for a ‘p’), not from desire, but from fear of being inexperienced or left behind. Ironically, I’m still a virgin, not by choice, but because I’ve been around people who twisted my image so much that I stopped believing I was worth loving.
People say things like, “God has someone for you,” or, “If you lose weight and get yourself together, you’ll find your person.” But truthfully, I don’t want to be found. I don’t want to be seen or heard. I’ve been quiet for so long that speaking up now feels wrong, even when it’s just me telling my truth.
There’s more to this story — but this is where I am right now. Just processing. Just being honest. Just sharing a little more.

What’s Your Truth?
Many people face periods of doubt and struggle in their faith journeys, often feeling isolated and unsure how to express their inner conflicts. Sometimes, the answers we once found comforting no longer suffice, and this can lead to feelings of hurt both from spiritual beliefs and from people who may have misrepresented or mishandled those beliefs. It's common to feel scared or burdened by expectations surrounding religious or personal identity, including pressures related to relationships, self-worth, and lifestyle choices. Recognizing the impact of external judgment—whether about faith, personal struggles, or societal norms—on one’s self-esteem is crucial. It’s natural to question when others who claim to know God cause pain or misunderstand the individual behind the faith. Such experiences can complicate the connection to faith, making prayer and traditional practices feel insufficient. By opening up about these emotions and inviting others to share their truths, we foster empathy and healing. It’s valuable to create a safe space for honest reflection without judgment. This kind of vulnerability helps individuals move through fear, temptation, and feelings of being unworthy toward a more authentic self-understanding. If you are grappling with your faith or personal identity, consider journaling your thoughts, connecting with supportive communities, or seeking faith leaders who honor questions and doubts. Remember that your truth is valid and that healing often starts with simply acknowledging where you are right now. This ongoing process is a powerful step toward reclaiming your voice and finding peace in honesty.
God knows right where you are at,it May not feel like it but He does. He's just ready for you to open your heart up to Him fully and trust Him not man. It's good having people of the same Faith to help us,but they can't lead us the way God can. I'm praying you find your way back home to our Father because He loves you and miss you.
