If you like lord of the rings/ Hobbit, this place is worth the visit as the green land with 🐑 around it is beautiful as well.
It is the exact same location chosen for the movies and everything remains the same including the gardening.

We drove there and even though we were earlier, we managed to ask to join the earlier tour instead!

If you're planning a visit to Hobbiton, I highly recommend arriving early like I did, as sometimes you can join an earlier tour and get started sooner. The entire set remains beautifully preserved including the lush gardens, making it feel like you've stepped right into the Shire. Don’t miss the famous Bag End, the iconic hobbit hole of Bilbo and Frodo. The scenic Hobbiton Hill and surrounding woods provide fantastic photo opportunities, so bring your camera! Also, be sure to try the complementary beverage provided after the tour; I had a refreshing Beek non-alcoholic drink which was a nice surprise. The experience truly brings the magic of the movies to life, especially if you’re a big fan of The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. Driving there is convenient, and the staff are very accommodating if you arrive early or have questions. Overall, it’s a must-visit if you find yourself in New Zealand and want to immerse yourself in Middle-earth’s enchanting world.
