Lately, I’ve been trying to let go and begin my healing journey. No one ever tells you how difficult this path can be how challenging it is to unlearn the beliefs you were led to accept as the right way to live, love, and care for others, especially when those people only pretended to care about you for years. I opened my heart and arms to them sincerely.👣
Now, I’m left with so many unanswered questions, harsh self-criticism, and countless sleepless nights filled with thoughts like, “Why me? Why did this happen to me?” I feel ashamed that I allowed myself to be diminished and hurt by people I cared for so deeply. I wonder why I sacrificed my own self-worth in the name of love or caring for others. The pain runs deep, and words can’t fully express it. Some days, I feel okay; on others, it’s a struggle just to get out of bed and face the day. My prayer is to reach a place of true peace and finally move on. I have chosen to forgive everyone involved, and I also take responsibility for the part I played in my own pain by trying to love and care for the wrong people.💔
Right now, I am leaning on God for healing. I know I am making progress, even though my emptiness sometimes makes me doubt it. But I trust that God will see me through, and soon I will find true peace and reclaim my self-worth.

I've found that unlearning the patterns that led me to tolerate pain was one of the hardest parts. It means acknowledging that the people we trusted might have only pretended to care, which can leave us feeling vulnerable and confused.
During this process, I experienced countless sleepless nights haunted by questions like "Why me?" and struggled with harsh self-judgment. It’s a common experience to feel ashamed for allowing ourselves to be hurt or diminished by people we deeply cared for. However, I've learned that such feelings can be an opportunity to rebuild self-worth and personal boundaries.
Forgiveness plays a crucial role in healing, but it is never about excusing the hurt. Instead, forgiveness is about liberating yourself from the burden of resentment and choosing peace for your own well-being. Taking responsibility for your part—in recognizing when you've loved in ways that compromised your value—helps transform pain into personal growth.
Throughout my healing, leaning on faith has been a source of strength and guidance. Trusting in a higher power or spiritual support can provide hope and resilience when emptiness and doubt try to overwhelm us. Progress in healing might not always feel linear, but with continuous effort and grace, moments of true peace and renewed self-worth can be found.
