24th book: The Boyfriend
This book??? actually caught me off guard.
I went into it thinking it would be a quick, predictable thriller… but the way the story unfolds had me questioning everyone the entire time.
The pacing was fast (like always with Freida McFadden), which made it so easy to keep turning pages — but what really got me was the twist. I genuinely did NOT see it coming… not in the beginning, not even towards the end.
Every time I thought I had it figured out, something small would shift and throw me off again. And when everything finally came together??? It made sense, but also felt so wild at the same time.
It’s one of those books where you want to go back and reread certain parts just to see what you missed.
