AI helped me figure out where blush goes

I don’t naturally understand makeup placement, so I’ve been using AI to help me figure out the basics.

This time I asked about blush placement:

Where does it actually go?

How high should it sit?

How do I keep it from looking muddy or too low?

I like using AI this way because it gives me a starting point before I try it on my own face.

... Read moreUnderstanding blush placement can be tricky, especially if makeup isn’t your forte. From my experience, using AI as a guide was a game-changer. It helped me visualize and grasp the subtle differences between placing blush higher on the cheeks for a lifted, youthful appearance, versus applying it mid-cheek for a natural, balanced effect. Lower placement, in particular, creates a softening and fullness that feels fresh and approachable. One key insight I gathered is that blush doesn’t have to be perfect—it just needs to complement your unique facial structure and make you feel good. The AI’s suggestions encouraged me to experiment gently, adjusting both the height and amount of blush. For instance, lifting the blush higher towards the temples slightly elongates the face, which is great when aiming for a more sculpted look. To avoid a muddy or low-placed blush effect, I learned to blend carefully and keep the edges soft. Using a light hand and buildable color makes it easier to control the placement and intensity. The AI also highlighted that different blush placements create different impressions, which empowered me to intentionally choose where to apply blush depending on the vibe I wanted—whether it’s a natural day look or a more defined, youthful lift. Overall, combining AI advice with hands-on trial allowed me to progress beyond confusion about blush. It’s a helpful reminder that makeup is as much about personal experimentation as it is about guidelines. Starting with AI recommendations gave me a solid foundation to discover what genuinely enhances my features, turning blush application from intimidating to inspiring.
