Can you believe it? We're officially 6 months out from our big day in August 2025! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating our engagement, and now the '6 MONTHS UNTIL We celebrate 'I Do!'' sign is up! This countdown has been a whirlwind of emotions, and I'm so excited to share what we've been up to as we prepare for a lifetime of love. It’s truly 'The Countdown Begins! #Moore2Love' for us! One of the first big milestones after setting the date was our engagement shoot. We wanted something classic yet reflective of our journey, so we chose the beautiful National Gallery of Art. My fiancé, looking absolutely dashing in his plaid suit, and I, feeling elegant in my black dress, had the most incredible time capturing our love. The photos truly show us as an engaged couple, full of joy and anticipation. It was amazing to see how our photographer, @hxnchomedia, brought our vision to life. Every shot felt like a piece of our story. At the 6-month mark, it feels like the real planning kicks into high gear. We've been diving deep into vendor selections – from finalizing our venue (hello, summer wedding vibes!) to choosing our caterer and florist. It’s all about bringing our August 2025 vision to life. For any other #augustbride out there, my advice is to tackle these big decisions now to save stress later! We’re aiming for a seamless celebration on August 16th. Of course, dress shopping has been a huge highlight! Finding 'the one' is such a special experience. And speaking of special, my 'BRIDALBABES' have been incredible. They're my rock, helping with everything from brainstorming ideas to celebrating every mini-milestone. I even have a little 'Congratulations to my man! I'm about to be the best wife 💍💕' mantra going, which always makes me smile and reminds me of the beautiful future ahead. Managing a wedding countdown, especially for 6 months, can feel overwhelming, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. We’re focusing on savoring each moment, from cake tastings to dance lessons. My fiancé and I are trying to schedule regular 'wedding-free' dates to just enjoy each other's company and remember why we're doing all this – for our black love, our forever. We’re also thinking about little details to make our celebration truly memorable, a real 'toast to love' for everyone joining us. This journey is more than just planning a party; it's about building our future together.
