Apartment series part 1 ✨
Starting my apartment series because I'm officially ready to move out. The Averly Collins Hills is literally 2 minutes from school, brand new, $1500 for a 1 bedroom and $2000 for a 2 bedroom... and honestly? I can see myself living here.
I'm at that point where going home doesn't feel like home anymore. Growing up with toxic Caribbean parents, the fighting, the tension, the feeling like you're trapped... it drains you. I hate that sinking feeling when I pull into the driveway like 'here we go again.'
I just want peace. I want to see who 1 am outside of my parents' house. I want to build a life where I actually look forward to coming home. And I know I'm not the only one who feels like this.
So yeah... this is me choosing myself. More apartment tours coming
Moving into a new apartment is more than just changing addresses; it's a step toward creating a personal sanctuary. The Averly Collins Hills offers modern living spaces that are not only conveniently located near campus but also provide the peace and comfort so many crave. Renting a 1-bedroom at $1500 or a 2-bedroom at $2000 can be a worthwhile investment in your mental well-being and independence. For many, especially those coming from challenging family environments, moving out brings a vital sense of freedom and the chance to discover one’s true self. It’s about escaping the tension and emotional exhaustion that sometimes come from difficult home dynamics, like toxic relationships or constant conflict. Building a life outside these stresses allows individuals to experience peace, grow in confidence, and develop habits and routines that nurture personal happiness. Apartment living also encourages responsibility—from managing bills and household chores to creating a cozy, welcoming environment that reflects your identity. Additionally, being close to school or work reduces commute stress, giving you more time to focus on what matters most. This apartment series will explore more about what it means to start fresh and how choosing the right place can support your journey to becoming your best self. Whether you’re looking for affordability, location, or just a peaceful place to call your own, remember that moving out is a powerful act of self-care and empowerment.
