I Built My Birds this Stand to save myself $1000's

I have looked at bird trees online for quite some time now and a common theme I have seen is that if you want a large one with a good structure and nice wood it will cost you over $1000 USD sometimes ranging into the $3000's-$5000's which is crazy to me.

This year I took it upon myself to build my own. I have been wanting a garden bed for some time. So I thought how great would it be to build a custom bird stand on top of my garden so they can fertilize it and I don't have to clean up the mess! So that's exactly what I did and all of my birds love it.

I foraged the wood myself from the forest, I put some existing toys and perches on it. I drilled everything together myself to save on Labor (it was my first time using a drill and yes it took a long time, wood was stripped accidentally haha).

I am very happy with how it turned out and if you swipe through all of the pictures you will see listings of others online as well as my plants growing happily now ☺️ Overall this cost me about $250 with the cost of the garden bed, dirt, drill and screws.

getting bugs? I've tried a little dish soap and hydrogen peroxide in the soil. I've even tried diatomaceous earth and they either came back or the plants died 😔 I wish I could have thriving plants
