Days 3 & 4 (technically 2 & 3, but we’re rolling with it per the itinerary🙂↔️) were a bit more low-key since I had to work, but luckily, Ash was happy just hanging out!
🖥️ Monday, I worked while she relaxed around the house, though we managed to sneak in an episode of Heartstopper on my lunch break. After work, we headed to Color Me Mine to paint pottery—she picked a cat, and I went with a tea light candle holder! 🕯️🐈⬛
🐻🍊Tuesday, I had work again, but when my internet went out for a bit, I took the opportunity to take Ash to Bear Fruit Bowls and Coffee for a smoothie bowl, which she loved.
🎂🍷After work, we baked her birthday cake (a tuxedo cake shaped like a heart), made chicken chipotle bowls, and had a wine night. Naturally, we watched more Heartstopper and colored before finally calling it a night! 🖍️💘
I took off the next two days to celebrate her actual bday, so stay tuned to see how we spent it🥳
... Read moreSo, you've seen a glimpse of my recent Pensacola escape, focusing on those wonderfully low-key Days 3 & 4. But let me tell you, Pensacola is packed with possibilities for both chill days and more adventurous outings! If you're looking for truly fun activities in Pensacola, it’s all about mixing iconic spots with personal touches, just like I tried to do.
One of the highlights, as you saw, was our visit to Color Me Mine Pensacola. This place isn’t just for kids; it’s a fantastic way to unwind and get creative, whether you’re on a solo trip, a romantic getaway, or a fun outing with friends. I loved picking out my tea light candle holder, and seeing the shelves of possibilities – from mugs to plates to quirky animal figurines like the cat my friend chose – just sparks joy. My tip? Don't rush your painting! Enjoy the process, experiment with colors, and remember you're creating a unique souvenir. It’s perfect for a slightly rainy afternoon or when you just need a break from the sun. Plus, it’s a great way to make lasting memories that you can literally take home with you.
Beyond pottery painting, Pensacola offers so much more. For those mornings when you need a fresh start, places like Bear Fruit Bowls & Coffee are lifesavers. Imagine a vibrant smoothie bowl, piled high with fresh fruit, granola, and a sprinkle of cacao nibs – it’s a delicious and healthy way to fuel up for your day. Finding these local gems, whether it's for a quick bite or a unique experience, is truly what makes a trip special. Keep an eye out for other "local finds" that might not be on every tourist map – sometimes the best experiences are the ones you stumble upon.
After a day of exploring or creating, sometimes the best activity is a cozy night in. That's where a good movie and a glass of wine come in. You might have noticed a mention of Roscato wine in my evening setup. If you're wondering about it, Roscato is a fantastic, slightly sweet, and sparkling red wine that's incredibly approachable. It's not just for special occasions; it’s a perfect companion for a relaxed evening, whether you’re unwinding with a show like "Heartstopper," getting lost in some coloring, or simply chatting with good company. It's light enough not to be overpowering but still feels like a treat. Try pairing it with something simple like a cheese board, some chocolate, or even the tuxedo birthday cake we baked – it enhances the cozy vibe perfectly. It's all about making those quiet moments feel just as special as the big adventures.
Planning your own Pensacola adventure, maybe even a "Seven Days in Pensacola, Fl" itinerary starting from somewhere like Houston, TX? Think about balancing your days. Dedicate time to the iconic beaches (the sunny beach scene from the OCR immediately comes to mind!), but also factor in those unique, hands-on experiences like pottery painting, or discovering a new favorite coffee spot. Don’t forget to schedule in some downtime, because sometimes the best memories are made during those relaxed evenings. Pensacola truly offers a blend of vibrant activities and serene moments, making it an ideal destination for a memorable getaway.
It looks like you had a blast. I can’t wait to see what else you did while you were there.
