Day 5 of how we spent our day in Pensacola when my SIL was in town!
This day was extra special because it was her birthday! 🥳
We kicked things off with brunch at Adonna's Garden St Cafe and Bakery. We both got the French toast casserole—absolutely amazing! I also tried the Banana Foster espresso martini, while she went for a cotton candy mimosa. After that, we promptly went back to my apartment for a much-needed nap. 😂
Once we were recharged, we headed downtown and grabbed a cotton candy energy drink at Buzzed Brew Coffee before roaming around. Eventually, we made our way to Fosko Coffee Barre, where we got another drink and took some time to read. Around 5:30, we wandered into a a couple vintage clothing shop to browse.
For dinner, we went to Flounder's Chowder House, which is such a great spot right on the water! Their menu is huge—there’s something for everyone. We both got the Salmon Poke Bowl and split a Blue Marlin cocktail. After dinner, we checked out their gift shop before heading home.
To wrap up the night, we did a Woobles crochet kit while watching Heartstopper (of course).

... Read moreAfter a fantastic day exploring Pensacola, like the one my sister-in-law and I had, you might be wondering what else this charming Florida city has to offer! I always love diving deeper into a destination, and Pensacola truly has something for everyone, whether you're looking for adventure or just some peaceful relaxation.
One highlight for me is definitely the incredible beaches. While we had a busy day, taking some time to simply relax on the "sandy beach" is a must. You'll often spot a "lifeguard stand" in the distance, reminding you of the clear waters perfect for swimming or just soaking up the sun. Beyond the main beach, there are also some fantastic parks and trails if you want to explore more of the "open-air venues" Pensacola offers. Imagine strolling through a local park, or perhaps even catching a sunset from a pier – pure bliss!
And speaking of food, while our "Flounder's Chowder House" dinner and "Salmon Poke Bowl" were absolutely delicious, Pensacola's culinary scene is vast! If you're keen on discovering fresh, "local produce" or unique "crafts," keep an eye out for local farmers' markets, especially during the "warmer months." These are perfect spots to grab a quick, fresh bite or find a unique souvenir. For those who love seafood, don't be afraid to try some of the smaller, hidden gems, too. You might discover your new favorite spot for fresh catches!
I also find that even on vacation, it's nice to have some downtime. Our evening with "The Woobles" crochet kits – featuring "Walter the Bear" and "Fred the Dinosaur" – was such a fun, cozy way to wind down. If you're into crafts, Pensacola has some cute local shops where you can find unique supplies or even take a small workshop. It's a great way to bring a piece of your trip home with you, or just enjoy a quiet, creative moment after a day of exploring. And if you're looking for more coffee shop vibes like "Buzzed Brew" or "Fosko Coffee Barre," Pensacola's downtown area has a wonderfully eclectic mix of places to sit, read, and enjoy a unique drink, maybe even a "Cotton Candy Flavored Energy Drink" to keep you going!
Whether you’re following a detailed "travel itinerary for a trip to Pensacola, FL" or simply going with the flow, remember to mix in some relaxation with your adventures. Pensacola truly is a gem, offering everything from bustling eateries to serene beach moments. Happy exploring!
