Detox Water🥰✨💦
I usually only add cucumbers and lemons/lime to my detox water now. Sometimes I only ass lemons. 🍋 it’s so refreshing especially when it’s cold . 🥶
Chia seeds are really good for bloating and the digestive system as well, I’ll add a tablespoon in 1 bottle of water sometimes too .
Today I added strawberries 🍓 with the lemons and cucumbers of course .
What do you put in your detox water .

I've been on my own journey to incorporate more healthy habits, and making my own antioxidant water at home has honestly been a game-changer! It's such a simple way to boost hydration and add amazing nutrients to my day without any added sugars or artificial stuff. I started with just lemons and cucumbers, which are fantastic, but I've since discovered so many other delicious combinations that are packed with antioxidants. So, how do I make my antioxidant water? It's really straightforward! First, I always make sure to wash my fruits and vegetables thoroughly, especially if they're not organic. Then, I slice them thinly – this helps release their flavors and beneficial compounds more effectively. For a basic batch, I usually fill a pitcher or a large bottle with filtered water. Then, I add my chosen ingredients. For example, if I'm doing a lemon-cucumber mix, I'll put in a few slices of each. If I'm adding strawberries, I might slice them in half or quarters. The key is to let the ingredients infuse. I typically prepare my water in the evening and let it chill in the fridge overnight. This allows all the flavors and antioxidants to seep into the water. If you're in a hurry, even an hour or two can make a difference, but overnight infusion really brings out the best. Let's talk about some of my favorite antioxidant-rich ingredients and why I love them: Lemons and Limes: These are my absolute staples! They're bursting with Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, and can help with digestion. I feel like they give the water such a refreshing, zesty kick. Cucumbers: So hydrating and mild, they add a subtle freshness that's perfect for a clean, crisp taste. Strawberries: Beyond their delicious sweetness, strawberries are loaded with antioxidants like anthocyanins and more Vitamin C. They also give the water a beautiful pink hue! Chia Seeds: As mentioned before, I sometimes add a tablespoon of chia seeds to my water. They're amazing for fiber, which aids digestion and helps with bloating. Plus, they're a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. Just remember they expand, so stir well! Mint: A few sprigs of fresh mint can elevate your water instantly. It’s not just for taste; mint can also aid digestion and has a lovely cooling effect. Ginger: For a little zing and a powerful anti-inflammatory boost, I sometimes add a few thin slices of fresh ginger. It's especially great if I'm feeling a bit sluggish. Blueberries & Raspberries: These berries are antioxidant superstars! They add a lovely tart-sweetness and are fantastic for overall health. I often muddle them a little before adding them to help release their goodness. Beyond just tasting great, regularly drinking antioxidant-infused water has several benefits I've personally noticed. It encourages me to drink more water throughout the day, which helps keep my energy levels up and my skin looking clearer. The antioxidants help protect my body from free radicals, and the fiber from ingredients like chia seeds keeps my digestion smooth. It also helps curb cravings for sugary drinks, making it a fantastic alternative if you're trying to reduce your sugar intake. My personal tip for making this a consistent habit? Invest in a nice water bottle or pitcher that you enjoy using. And don't be afraid to experiment! Try different fruit and herb combinations until you find your absolute favorites. It's all about finding what works best for you and makes hydration enjoyable. Staying hydrated with these homemade antioxidant waters not only tastes great but truly makes me feel better from the inside out!
