I’ve been wanting to try this purple yam for some time now and I finally found it the other day 🥰✨

I think it’s an Asian dish and people usually eat it with kimchi . i haven’t tried it with kimchi just yet but I cooked red snapper with spinach and mushroom .

It’s sweet kinda like a regular sweet potato . It’s also really healthy and high in fiber .

I loveeee trying different cultures foods .

From what I’ve learned and experienced, they are truly a nutritional powerhouse. They're a fantastic source of fiber, which is amazing for gut health and keeping you feeling full. But that's not all! The sign at the store mentioned they're also rich in manganese, vitamins A & C, and especially anthocyanins. Those anthocyanins are what give them their beautiful deep purple hue, and they're powerful antioxidants that help fight inflammation and protect your cells. It’s like eating a rainbow that’s also doing wonders for your body! Finding these gems can sometimes be a little tricky. I found mine at a specialty Asian market, but I've also heard of them popping up in the international sections of larger grocery stores. If you're looking for them, keep an eye out in the produce section – sometimes they're right next to the regular sweet potatoes in a big bin. When picking them out, look for firm, smooth skin, similar to how you'd select any sweet potato or regular yam. The "WEEKLY SPECIALS" sign I saw also mentioned they can be quite affordable, so keep an eye out for deals! Now, how to cook them?
