... Read moreTransitioning your hair care routine as the seasons change is crucial, especially when moving into warmer months. One of the biggest challenges during this period is managing scalp health and moisture retention amid increased heat and often more frequent washing. From personal experience, incorporating regular hair oiling has been a game-changer. It nourishes the scalp, reduces dryness, and supports hair strength. You don't need to oil daily; alternating between once to twice a week suffices to help maintain healthy hair, especially if your scalp tends to get oily more quickly. Another vital aspect is focusing on length retention rather than just growth. This means paying attention to trimming split ends regularly and avoiding harsh treatments or heat styling that can cause breakage. Keeping hair hydrated with leave-in conditioners or lightweight oils between wash days helps protect strands until the next wash without weighing hair down. Protecting your hair while you sleep also made a significant difference in my hair journey. Using silk scrunchies, bonnet covers, or silk pillowcases minimizes friction and breakage. Avoid going to bed with wet hair, as wet hair is more fragile and prone to damage, especially around the nape of the neck. Lastly, it’s important to be gentle with your hair during detangling and styling. Loose braids or gentle twists can reduce tangling without stressing strands. Combining these habits consistently through warmer months will improve your hair’s health, strength, and length retention, making hair care feel less like a chore and more like a rewarding routine.

Oops I ruined my hair by bleaching during pandemic ^, it’s tons better now. But I just learned so much, I always trim but it is getting thinner because of perimenopause. Any suggestions on that?

U have the best advice z! Hair by bleaching it and I didn’t do all of these tips, but I love your page. It’s amazing. I’m gonna start oil cover covering it at night and doing the leave in between wash. Wow you taught me so much today thank you.
