Did We Really Need Book 2? 🤔
I hate saying this because I usually love Rina Kent’s books, but Steel Princess was a letdown for me.
This book felt like it could have been condensed into a few chapters. Honestly, it wasn’t until about 75% of the way through that I felt like anything significant actually happened. The rest felt repetitive and dragged on, which made it hard to stay invested.
I’m still going to read Twisted Kingdom because I need to know how Elsa and Aiden’s story ends, but I genuinely think this could have been a duology instead of a trilogy. Book 2 felt like filler, and I don’t think much would have been lost if it had been merged into the final book.
It definitely won’t stop me from reading more Rina Kent, but this one just wasn’t for me.
