📝 QUICK SUMMARY

Where I Land follows Cole as he tries to navigate life after everything he’s been through. He’s always been the strong one—the person everyone can depend on—but underneath that strength, he’s struggling with grief, guilt, and his own battles.

This book gives us a deeper look into Cole, his relationships, and everything he’s been carrying while trying to find his way forward.

💭 MY THOUGHTS

My heart hurts for Cole. 🥺 I felt so much for him throughout this book, and getting more of his perspective made me understand him on a whole different level.

Now Savannah… 😤 GIRL. She had me frustrated more than once. 😂 I understood some of her choices, but that definitely didn’t stop me from being mad at her.

I’ll be honest, I think Book 1 was better, but Where I Land was still SO good. It brought all the emotions, gave me a deeper look at Cole, and kept me invested the entire time.

And then Nikki Jimenez really had the nerve to give us ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER. 😭 UGH. I need the next book NOW!

🖤 FAVORITE QUOTE

“That meant then, and it still means now, that I don’t care what version of you shows up. I don’t care if you’re figuring yourself out or if you change your mind every other day. I don’t care what your hair looks like or what music you’re into or what you’re scared of or what you’re trying to let go of. Drugs or no drugs. Confidence or confusion. Broken or healing. I want you.”

🥺 THIS QUOTE. The unconditional love behind these words absolutely broke me. Sometimes you just need someone who chooses you—not the perfect version of you, but you exactly as you are. 🖤

💕 OVERALL: Book 1 is still my favorite, but this was a solid 4⭐️ read!

... Read moreReading "Where I Land" by Nikki Jimenez was a truly immersive experience that deeply resonated with me, especially as it delicately handles complex themes like grief, recovery, and the meaning of unconditional love. Cole’s character felt very authentic to me—his strength mixed with vulnerability made his journey compelling and relatable. I appreciated how the story didn't shy away from showing his struggles with guilt and emotional pain, which isn’t always common in romance novels. What really stood out was the focus on found family and second chances, themes that gave the narrative a sense of hope and warmth amidst hardship. The interactions between Cole and the people around him were filled with raw emotion and genuine connection, which enriched the storyline and deepened my investment in their journeys. Savannah’s character added an interesting dynamic—I could understand some of her actions even when they frustrated me, which made the story feel more realistic. It reminded me that in real-life relationships, people aren’t perfect, and emotions can be complicated. The quote about choosing someone exactly as they are truly struck a chord with me. It encapsulates the essence of healing and acceptance, a reminder that love is about embracing imperfections and ongoing growth rather than perfection. If you are looking for a romance novel that goes beyond the surface to explore emotional healing and the struggles of overcoming past pain, "Where I Land" offers a refreshing and heartfelt perspective. While I preferred the first book, this one still kept me hooked and eager for the next installment, especially with its cliffhanger ending. It’s a poignant, emotional read for anyone who enjoys stories about resilience, recovery, and finding love in unexpected places.
