It’s okay to let go. 🫶✨

I swear I have spent so much of my life worrying about things out of my control.

Feeling like the world around me is so insane I can’t cope.

The way time goes so crazy fast when you have kids you honestly grab at any chance to slow down time even for a minute!

Or the bad days that just never seem to end..

Everything is always SO MUCH.. too much some days..

Until I get a chance to breathe* 🧘

There is nothing more important than making sure you can regulate even a little bit of your big emotions.

Part of that is letting go of that which doesn’t serve us anymore..

Like the pants we held onto that one day we may fit into again. Mabye we will.. BUT by then we should want a different pair.

Thats the lesson. Cut the branch and make room for new growth!! You got this!! 🫶🏻🥰❤️🌱

(..and even if you don’t, that’s okay too!)

There’s so many new branches to make! 🌲 #letgo #healingmyself #healing #healingjourney #progress

... Read moreAfter realizing how much worry was weighing me down, I started a journey to truly understand the 'power of letting go.' It’s more than just a phrase; it's a profound shift that helps you embrace life 'for the better.' I used to think letting go meant giving up, but I've learned it’s about making a conscious choice to release what doesn't serve my highest good. One of the biggest hurdles for me was letting go of control. I spent so much energy trying to manage every outcome, every emotion from others. It felt exhausting! A practical step that helped me immensely was practicing mindfulness. Just taking a few minutes each day to focus on my breath, like the article mentions, helped me identify those racing thoughts I needed to release. It’s like observing clouds passing by – you don't have to grab onto each one. Another powerful technique I've adopted is a form of 'life decluttering,' just like cleaning out my closet. This isn't just about physical items, but also old beliefs, expectations, past mistakes, resentments, and even relationships that drain my energy. For instance, I had this old belief that I needed to please everyone. Letting go of that, slowly but surely, freed up so much mental space! It's difficult at first, like getting rid of a sentimental item, but the sense of lightness afterwards is incredible. This really resonates with the idea of bringing in 'new energy' for 2025, saying 'f*** it to everything that didn't serve us in 2024.' Journaling has also been a game-changer. When I feel overwhelmed, I write down everything that's bothering me. Then, I look at the list and ask myself: 'Is this within my control? Does holding onto this serve me?' If the answer is no, I consciously decide to let it go. It's a symbolic act, but it helps retrain your brain. Sometimes, it’s about letting go of the idea of how things 'should' be, and accepting them as they are. The benefits have been immense. I feel a much greater sense of peace and less anxiety. My emotional resilience has grown, and I have more energy for the people and activities that truly matter. It’s about creating space for new growth, new ideas, and new joy. It’s not a one-time event; it’s an ongoing practice. Some days are harder than others, but remembering the freedom that comes with releasing what no longer serves me keeps me going. It truly is the secret to a more peaceful, fulfilling life, and I'm excited to carry this 'new energy' into 2025 and beyond!
