So I’m Fairly New To Lemon8 & Even Thought About Growing But….I’ve Come To Find Some Unsettling Things About It 🥲
✨Things I Love✨
• I love that it has a similar layout to Pinterest because I’m a big Pinterest girly and these types of layouts are so pleasing to my eyes and it’s easier to see so many posts at once!
• Mainly about giving advice and helpful tips for things like skincare, hair care, travel ideas, shows to binge etc!
• I’ve been able to find so many inspos and it’s so much easier to make content here than other platforms where you basically have to follow trends (very annoying)
❌ Dislikes ❌
• I’m very tired of seeing the “how can I be prettier” posts I understand that in a way they may be meant for giving tips but they should be worded differently something like “how to improve make up” or “skin care tips that’ll make you glow!” But the title “how can I be prettier” is very ew.
• The distain for men wanting to be on here is a bit cringy to me (I might get dragged for this). I know this app gives off a bit more girly vibes but I DO NOT like women dragging men for being on here because what if they need tips too. They may want some guidance from us as well so please stop.
• “Why is Lemon8 so straight?” Those posts make me cringe too because you don’t know what anyone on this app is unless they disclose it so why are we calling an app “straight”? 😭 why can we just not enjoy the app I don’t get it
• The way people are quick to attack and tear you apart is honestly similar to other apps as well unfortunately.
