A New Read To Help Me

So while just browsing my local library catalog log this book had caught my eye. I had my mother pass a couple years back but yet I still feel… well very sad about it. Most times of just bringing her up like it could be the smallest of things can get me to tear up, cry or just disconnect from reality for a while. I got this book in hopes to help me move on. I have read like a quarter of the introduction because I’m had an exhausting day so I don’t have much to say as of yet.

... Read moreGrieving the loss of a loved one can be an incredibly daunting experience. For many, turning to literature can provide comfort and guidance during such difficult times. Books like 'Moving On Doesn't Mean Letting Go' and 'A Modern Guide to Navigating Loss' resonate deeply with those seeking solace. Reading stories of others who have faced similar challenges can help structure our thoughts and emotions, making us feel less alone in our experiences. The act of reading not only serves as a distraction but can also encourage reflection and personal growth. Engaging with narratives that explore themes of loss, resilience, and healing enables readers to process their own emotions at a manageable pace. Many individuals find solace in the relatable struggles of characters, mirroring their own journeys as they navigate the stormy waters of grief. Incorporating self-care practices alongside reading, such as journaling or discussing insights with friends, can further enhance the healing process. It's critical to be gentle with oneself, allowing tears to flow and acknowledging the waves of sadness that can arise unexpectedly. If you’re embarking on a similar journey, consider creating a reading list focused on themes of loss and recovery. As you immerse yourself in these narratives, reflect on how they relate to your own experiences—this process could be transformative and bring you closer to peace. Remember, while moving on doesn’t equate to forgetting, it’s about learning to cherish the memories of those we’ve lost while also honoring our journey toward healing.

Love a personal development book. All of these I read in the past 3ish years. ❤️The Big Leap I swear by this book it has changed my perspective more than any book I’ve ever read. Whenever I catch myself being a hot mess it’s the best book to go back to remember how crashing out isn’t helpful.
