Which one is more Biblical?

Reflecting on the differences between Protestantism and Catholicism from a biblical perspective can be quite enlightening. This approach leads to a canon of 66 books and teaches that faith alone grants salvation, highlighting a personal relationship with God without necessarily emphasizing church rituals. On the other hand, Catholicism balances scripture with church teachings handed down since the time of Jesus Christ, as noted in passages like Matthew 16:18-19. Catholics recognize a larger canon of 73 books and stress that faith must be complemented by works, referencing James 2:14-26. This belief fosters a connection through established religious practices and sacraments such as baptism, which is biblically seen as essential (Acts 2:38), and the Eucharist, viewed as the true body and blood of Christ (John 6:51-58). In my experience attending both Protestant and Catholic services, the sense of community and approach to faith feels quite different but meaningful in unique ways. Understanding these doctrinal differences encourages a respectful dialogue and greater appreciation for diverse Christian expressions. It also reminds me that the question of which is "more Biblical" can depend on individual interpretation and the aspects of scripture one emphasizes most deeply. Regardless, both traditions aim to follow Jesus and live out the teachings found in the Bible.
