All of my journal pages are themed on something for example my first page was themed on different drawling of eyes like I had a sun and moon eye, a strawberry with eyes as seeds etc. so any ideas for a page I should do next?!
Keep in mind I did not make up the ideas of these specific drawling, they were all inspired from Pinterest

... Read moreHey everyone! It’s been so much fun diving into my new sketchbook and filling it with themed journal pages. Since you loved my eye drawings – especially the sun and moon eye, and that fun strawberry with eyes as seeds – I wanted to share even more tips and ideas to kickstart your own aesthetic sketchbook journey.
One of the best ways to get started is by picking a theme. It doesn't have to be super complex. My Halloween-inspired page with a flower eye was a blast, showing how a simple concept can lead to cool art. You could do a 'celestial' theme with stars, planets, and constellations, or a 'nature walk' theme featuring leaves, flowers, and even tiny bugs. For a really easy start, try a color palette theme, where every drawing on a page uses only specific colors. I often use Pinterest for inspiration; it's a treasure trove for "grunge indie easy eye drawing Pinterest" ideas and so much more!
When it comes to sketchbook first page ideas, don't feel pressured to create a masterpiece immediately. I love making an "about me drawing aesthetic" page to introduce my sketchbook. You can doodle things that represent you: your favorite food, a pet, a hobby, or even just your name in a cool font. Another idea is to create a mini mood board with glued-in pictures, small quotes, and simple black-and-white doodles like the mushroom, house, or jellyfish I added to one of my pages. These small details really personalize your journal without needing advanced drawing skills.
Speaking of easy aesthetic sketchbook ideas, remember those Stickman characters I drew late at night? They prove that drawing doesn't have to be perfect to be fun and expressive. Try simple shapes, repeating patterns, or even just practicing different lettering styles. Filling a page with random, cute doodles like tiny stars, hearts, or arrows can be incredibly satisfying. Don't be afraid to experiment with different mediums too – markers, colored pencils, or even watercolor washes can add so much character.
And let's not forget the sketchbook cover ideas! My new journal came with a beautiful white, purple, blue, and gold marbled design, but there are endless ways to make yours uniquely yours. For an aesthetic touch, you could paint a simple abstract design or glue on fabric swatches. If you're going for a "grunge sketchbook cover ideas" vibe, think about adding distressed paper, stickers, or even small sketches that reflect your interests. Imagine a cover with cute pink pumpkins and white ghosts if you're into spooky season, or minimalist line art if you prefer something understated. Making the cover personal really sets the tone for all the creativity inside.
The most important thing is to enjoy the process and let your creativity flow. There are no rules in your own sketchbook! So, what aesthetic drawing ideas for your journal are you excited to try next? I'd love to hear your thoughts and get some new inspiration for my next page!
Saving this for inspiration!!
