An Underrated Escape in Ubud you need to know!!

This trip, I stepped away from my usual private villa stays and tried something more understated — and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise.

For just ~$40+/night (rated 3⭐️), this place honestly feels underrated. The room is incredibly spacious, with an oversized bed that could easily fit up to 4.

It’s one of those spaces that immediately makes you want to slow down and stay in.

The bathroom comes with a bathtub and rain shower — a nice touch for unwinding after a long day. Water pressure could be stronger and there’s a slight smell at times, but nothing too overwhelming.

Overall, the room itself is very clean and comfortable, which I really appreciate.

What stood out most for me is the quiet. It’s peaceful in a way that feels almost rare… though yes, very quiet — you might even hear your neighbours next door 😂

As a solo female traveller, feeling safe is always a priority, and I felt completely at ease staying here. It’s simple, calm, and gives you that space to properly rest.

Not a luxury villa, but a different kind of luxury — one that’s slower, quieter, and more intentional. I’d definitely come back again 🤍

... Read moreDuring my stay at Uma Dawa Resort and Spa in Ubud, I was genuinely impressed by the blend of affordability and comfort this 3-star property offers. Not only does the spacious room accommodate up to four people comfortably with its oversized bed, but the serene ambiance truly allows you to unwind and disconnect from the hustle of everyday life. One of the highlights for me was the bathroom setup: having both a bathtub and a rain shower is a rare treat in accommodations at this price point. While the water pressure could be improved and there was a faint smell on occasion, these minor issues hardly detracted from my overall comfort. The room was consistently clean, which added to my sense of ease, especially as a solo female traveler who values safety above all. What truly sets this place apart is its peaceful atmosphere. Unlike bustling resorts or villas, Uma Dawa offers a uniquely quiet environment where you can relax deeply—sometimes so quiet that you hear your neighbors next door! This calmness perfectly complements the slower, more intentional luxury the resort represents. For travelers keen to explore Ubud during the day and return to a cozy retreat without breaking the bank, this accommodation is a fantastic option. It also pairs well with local culinary delights like Bebek USA, a nearby restaurant known for its delicious offerings, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Uma Dawa Resort and Spa delivers a distinct kind of luxury—simple, peaceful, and deeply relaxing—making it a top pick for those seeking an underrated escape in Bali’s cultural heartland.

Airbnb in Bali has my heart 🤍
Tried searching for hotels in Bali and honestly… they’re not cheap. So we decided to explore Airbnb instead and found ourselves an amazing stay in Ubud, just near the Ubud shopping streets. It wasn’t the cheapest at $340 per night, but just look at that view… totally worth it. The bathroom was e
