Journaling Markers
I have so many markers and now highlighters that I needed to rehome them.
They didn’t fit! Haha 😩😅
As someone passionate about journaling and creative planning, I’ve found that organizing my markers and highlighters not only makes my workspace more inviting but also sparks inspiration when setting up new spreads. Rehoming markers like Tombow brush pens and Mildliner highlighters can be a bit tricky because of their varying sizes and shapes, and it’s easy to find that your favorite storage solutions may not accommodate all your supplies. One approach I’ve embraced is using compartmentalized storage boxes or drawer organizers that allow me to separate markers by brand or color family. This helps me quickly locate the colors I want to use, especially when working on my Hobonichi planner. Additionally, repurposing small containers or even pencil cases can help with portability if I want to journal on the go. When markers don’t fit the usual holders or cases, I’ve also tried using magnetic strips or boards to organize them visually on a wall or desk surface. This method not only keeps the markers accessible but also adds a colorful display that reminds me of the creative possibilities. Plus, it helps me keep track of duplicates or markers that need replacing. If you’re looking for alternatives, some people have found that investing in marker stands or rotating caddies designed specifically for brush pens or highlighters can make rehoming easier. Lastly, consider decluttering occasionally—donating or sharing extra markers that you don’t frequently use can free up precious space and help fellow journaling enthusiasts. Balancing functionality with creativity in your organizing system can transform your journaling experience. It’s worth experimenting with different setups until you find what best suits your style and workspace constraints. Happy journaling and marker organizing!
